Essay work (9-3/9-4)
- today we worked on writing a Thesis statement and worked toward writing a fluent introductory paragraph

HOMEWORK: complete a rough draft of an introductory paragaph (hook, comments and background information, thesis statement)
Charter of Rights and Freedoms (9-4)
- students began a group task: each group chose a section of the charter and all have a puzzle task to complete over the next couple of classes. (see D2L for the handout).
HOMEWORK: rewrite your charter section and provide an overview in your own words/grade 9 friendly language
